How long will it take to repair or replace my roof? ?
The length of time that it takes to repair or replace a roof will depend on the size and material of your roof and it can vary from a few hours to a few days. As skilled roofing contractors, at S&J Roofing Bath, we will complete your roofing works as safely and efficiently as possible.

What are your payment terms?
We request a 20% deposit upon booking with the final balance due 30 days from the date that our team completes your roofing works.
How many years should I expect on my warranty?
As approved members of the FMB and FMB masterbond members, our work has been carefully checked to ensure we uphold the standards of the largest building federation in England. It also means that we can offer our customers additional warranty options to cover our work. This is government endorsed through the Trust Mark scheme which helps potential customers find reputable firms. We can offer up to a 25 year guarantee on all of our flat roofs, or a 10 year warranty on all of our tile roofs. This also includes insolvency protection.
How long can I expect my roof to last?
Most roofing systems should last you around 20 years. However, many roofing materials, including slate, clay tile and various metals can last a lot longer. Choosing high quality materials and appointing a professional roofing contractor will ensure that your roof lasts as long as possible.
Can you claim roof repair on insurance?
It is common that your roof is covered in part or in full through your building insurance, however, this is dependent on the type of insurance you have taken out.
If my roof is leaking, do I need a full roof replacement?
A leaking roof doesn’t necessarily mean that you require a complete roof replacement. How much repair work needs to be done depends entirely on the level of damage that has been caused by the leak. The best thing to do is to talk to a professional to understand whether a minor repair or full roof replacement is required.
How much are gutter repairs?

Can you repair roof shingles?
At S&J Roofing Bath, we have been carrying out roof repairs for many years and can repair any roof including the roof shingles and roof tiles. Repairing your roof early will reduce the impact any leaks may have in your home.
Will a flat roof allow rain to run off it?
A flat roof is usually built with a very slight incline to allow any rain water to easily drain off of the roof into the gutter, so no water will build up on your roof.
What type of roof insulation should I use?
If your roof is properly insulated, you can cut your energy bills by up to 20%. The most common bulk insulation materials used are; glasswool, and polyester. The recommended depth for loft insulation is 270 millimetres for glass wool, 250 millimetres for rock wool and 220 millimetres for cellulose.
